Hi, I’m Sally Akins, Editor of TreeHugger Mums. I’m married to Mark and have 3 sons - Ryan, Ollie and Lyle. In between all the fun and games of raising a family, we run TreeHugger Mums. THM is built on a belief that there is no single 'right' way to parent, that each parent will have their own way based upon their circumstances, and the personalities that make up their family. We aim to present you with information, and give you the confidence to choose which bits suit you and which don't.

TreeHugger Mums (THM) was formed in July 2002, initially to provide information about cloth nappies. I was keen to create a source of clear, practical advice in order to try and encourage more people to view cloth as a realistic option. The site soon expanded (due to requests from our visitors) and now covers fertility issues, pregnancy, and breastfeeding as well as parenting topics. In May 2004 TreeHugger Mums Limited was formed as a limited company in the UK, and the THM Shop was added to the site.

Our cloth nappy articles will show you the benefits of Real nappies, how to choose the right nappies for your child, and what to do with them when you get them home. Washable nappies have come a long way since the days of nappy pins and plastic pants - let us help you make the switch. And once you've made your choice, our online store is open 24 hours a day for whenever you feel the urge to shop. We sell a wide range of nappies together with the accessories you'll need to make using cloth nappies easy.

We also have breastfeeding articles for new mums and extended breastfeeders alike, together with breastfeeding accessories from Lansinoh.
